ReplyDeleteThe old man was interested in the drawings because the drawings were of an automan that he had made a long time ago that he thought was destroyed and he was confused as to how this boy could access a part of his past that he thought was gone forever. The old man has mixed feelings because he wanted to forget these old feelings but now that he has access to them again he is tempted to embrace them.
